Adapting Ambrose Bierce...

First published in 1893, the short story "The Damned Thing" by Ohio mystery writer Ambrose G. Bierce, begins in Hugh Morgan's cabin, where "local men have gathered around the battered corpse to hold an inquest concerning his death" (Wikipedia). Since 1970s, the story was loosely adapted into 3-4 short films and television movies.

Belgrade & Cleveland Media Group's adaptation for TV series aims to transform this old horror concept into present time science-fiction thriller about supernatural "bio-tech monster" that controls certain parts of our senses. Written by long-time collaborators: B. R. Tatalovic and Robert Graziosi (and based on Tatalovic's short script concept), the pilot episode presents an unsolved mystery and introduces a group of interesting protagonists (and antagonists), for very entertaining crime-drama with science fiction elements.
